Notes

Creating a story requires a number of choices over a variety of things, small and big, about minutiae and broader aspects, of little overall importance or very consequential. Choices are made taking into account the setting, the characters, the narrative flow and where the story is being pushed by both my own steering and the random dice rolls and events.

Most of the times, the decisions I make are within the ‘normal’ boundaries of the process of creating a story, though with the added layer of RPG rules and mechanics.

Yet I am not simply creating a story, I am also sharing it, which is a bit more complicated than the simple act of pressing a button labeled publish. As my content can be intercepted by different sets of eyes, I need to get deeper in my final, pre-publishing, reviews.

I don’t plan to exercise censorship over my writing, rather to shed light on the processes at work behind the writing. That’s the purpose of the Notes section, which I’ll populate with topics that keep recurring as the story proceeds.

Hopefully, they’ll be worth reading.
