This T2K solo campaign has reached post 100, and this blog is nearing 2 years of presence on the internet. I have no prior experience in managing a corner of the ether, and no terms of comparison to say whether it’s a good or average result, so I’ll only express a personal opinion and say not bad.
As it happens, my posts have now reached the actual play of my solo campaign; I rolled dice for post 100 just a week prior of publishing it. Other things in life are now claiming a larger share of my time and I won’t be able to keep my weekly posting schedule.
The plan is to keep playing and proceed in this campaign; possibilities are vast, ideas abound, and I feel no burnout whatsoever about T2K. Also, the latest expansion – Operation Reset – will become available over the next few months.
Yet, as of the date of this entry, I can’t say when I will publish my next post.
Over the past couple years I created and published a series of pages aimed at building a small library of resources for Twilight 2000 in its fourth iteration. Hopefully those will remain useful and relevant, even if the story is paused.
I still have plans for more of these pages, as well as posts pointing at other T2K stories from different parts of the internet. Those plans won’t be scrapped; they will pause along with the main campaign.
When reaching post 100 changed from being an ambition to laying within my grasp, I envisioned what I wanted to with that milestone under my belt. My first plan was to summarize the campaign using maps, but it then evolved into collages of visual elements, representing the phases of my group’s journey in the WWIII that never was.
The final result was akin to a series of postcards, and here they are.

I already have an idea (or more than one) for the next steps in this campaign, both regarding the day-to-day struggle of surviving in post-apocalyptic Poland, and about the broader arch of the story. Roleplaying and writing proved to be as time-consuming as it is satisfying, which makes me think I’ll eventually want to scratch this particular itch.
So far it’s been a great ride, and hopefully you have found reading this story worth the time it took you to do it.
